TMHC brought in Nigeria’s 50th year with laughter! Our inaugural “Calabar Rib Cracker” Comedy Showdown was a roaring success. Our community, joined by many of our guests, gathered and laughed the night away while local comedic talents vied for cash prizes. The battle was fierce…fiercely funny that is! All the acts were fantastic, but in the end, only three were left standing: Third place was awarded to the gifted “Ecology” (Mr. Gabriel Ibinga), second place went to the clever “Rugged MC” (Mr. Idika Ukeju), and “Anton Demimik” came out victorious as the grand prize winner. Congratulations to Mr. Jobson! |

On Saturday, 21st August, 2010 the newly branded Transcorp Metropolitan Hotel & Conference (TMHC) celebrated its first milestone. After just two short months under its new owners/management, TMHC proudly welcomed its community of family friends to the Grand Re-opening Gala for the Metro Pool & Bar [Gallery]. The Chairman of the celebration was Mr. Michael Williams, MD of the Cross River State Tourism Bureau (CRSTB). Mr. Williams christened our renovated Pool & Bar and lead the crowd in a toast, followed by a lavish spread of hors d'oeuvres from TMHC's spectacular catering staff.
Now that the Metro Pool & Bar is open for business (and by "business" we mean fun), we invite everyone to come and enjoy music, food and drinks poolside. For more information about the Metro Pool & Bar:
